250 FR16 I-Joist Flange Reinforcers™ are designed to repair a notch cut from the top or bottom flange portion of a 16″ tall I-Joist with a 2.5″ flange.
The I-Joist Flange Reinforcers™ are engineered light gauge steel attachments for engineered I-Joists allowing larger openings in floor joists. The Metwood patented and engineered I-Joist Flange Reinforcer™ simplifies the routing and installation of utilities while repairing and restoring the strength of floor joists weakened by the placement of large holes or notch cut-outs.
Our Metwood I-Joist Flange Reinforcers™ are shipped with the screws and drill bit needed for easy installation and are simply screwed to the side of the floor joist with no glue needed.
The 250 FR16 I-Joist Flange Reinforcers™ are designed to repair a notch cut from the top or bottom flange portion of an I-Joist that measure 2.5″. If using the 250 series on a flange larger or smaller than that of 2.5″, the web area or the flange area may need to be padded out so the 250 series Joist Flange Reinforcer™ fits tight against the joist.

No. You only need one I-Joist repair kit to repair and reinforce a notch in the flange of your I-Joist. If you have a hole through the middle of your I-joist you will need only one I-Joist Repair Web Reinforcer kit.
